Thanksgiving is several weeks away but, as someone who juggles the title business owner/entrepreneur with the titles of mother and wife, I’ve been thinking a lot lately about all the wonderful people (most of them juggling the titles mom & business owner themselves) who help me on a daily, weekly or monthly basis and without whom, I would be a much less successful business owner, entrepreneur, mother, wife and woman.   So I’d like to send “a shout out” to all these important people: 

My husband for everything; My daughter for being mature beyond her years and inspiring me daily; my mother for dropping everything in her life to help me better mine; Christine for listening to me for 25 years; Caryn for holding my hand when I launched Crib Rock & the Concert Series in 2005 and letting me do the same as she launched Myzos in 2007; Nicole for chaffuering my child to cheer practice twice a week and for cheering me on in all aspects of my life;  Lisa for sharing her wisdom, her wine and for the Hawaii Trip invite; Christa for hosting the majority of the kids’ sleepovers and fitting that yearbook dedication in at the 11th hour; Moms from school like: Heather, Laura, Roberta, Catharine and Angel who warmly entertain my daughter on lavish playdates which have yet to be reciprocated; Laura R. for making Jordan’s beach stay safe and happy while my husband and I took our first “alone” weekend trip in 9 years; Pennie because even if I haven’t spoken to her in months I can call with a random, 30 second question and she answers it like we spoke yesterday;  David for his ear, guidance and the email blasts; Denise for her infectious, can-do attitude and & supportive, non-momager way of being; my “best-friend-I’ve-never-met” Victoria, who simply “gets” me; my neighbor Pam for treating my dog like he was her own; my neighbor Heidi for sending funny emails including those telling me when Fed-Ex and UPS leave large packages unattended outside my courtyard door; my neighbor Susan for being my guardian angel; business associates who’ve become good friends like Danielle, Christie; and Kandi; Robin my phenomenal publicist  for going the extra mile for all my business endeavors; and to my wonderful web designer Shanna who has hung in with me since the beginning and whose plethora of talents never cease to amaze me.  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

On September 21, in celebration of International Peace Day, Jane Goodall’s foundation for youth, Roots and Shoots in conjunction with our good friends at the Hot Moms Club hosted “A Day of Peace” at Griffith Park in Los Angeles.  The event was helmed by actor Pierce Brosnan along with his wife Keely and their sons.  Thousands attended the day long celebration including Talk Show Host/Natural Birthing Advocate Ricki Lake; Actresses Daryl Hannah and Kristy Swanson; and music superstars Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani. 

The Hot Moms Club featured an assortment of eco-friendly fashions in the runway show hosted by Anna Getty and Shiva Rose.  Crib Rock’s Legends line (pictured right) made it’s catwalk debut with our REPTILLIA onesie on this adorable little guy. 

Celebrity moms & dads like Josie Maran, Bryan Dattilo and son Gabe (Days of Our Lives), McKenzie Westmore (Passions), and expectant mom Trisha Jochen (Denise Richards show) modeled the fashions.

The day’s events culminated in a special performance by Gavin Rossdale as  wife Gwen Stefani and son Kingston cheered him on from the crowd.
