Crib Rock, Ed Hardy, Diesel & Kingsley named “Back to School Must Haves” for Fall 2008!
According to children’s fashion expert, Michelle Kouzmine, Crib Rock Couture is a back-to-school fashion Must Have for Fall 2008. We’re in excellent company on the “2008-Must-Have” list with edgy brands Ed Hardy Kids (which Madonna and family favor), household name Diesel Jeans and Kingsley Tees made famous by Shiloh. Not that we can’t drop a few names: Apple, Moses, Lola, Honor, Brody Jo, Violet, Maddox, Kimaya, Zahara. The Crib Rock celebrity list has legs. But that’s not what gets you onto Ms. Kouzmine’s exclusive BTS list and it’s certainly not what keeps a brand there year after year.
Now for more good news! In celebration of making the list, Crib Rock will ship all retail clothing purchases from our site Free of Charge during the month of September 08. Just use the code ”MustHave” during online checkout. That’s right, FREE SHIPPING. You pay zip, nada, nuthin. Now that’s a Must-Have everyone can appreciate!
LEGENDS Tees Launch: A Case of Cryptic Cryptid Timing
When Crib Rock launched the LEGENDS collection of tees and onesies earlier this summer, we couldn’t have possibly imagined that the world was about to witness life imitating art. Suddenly, Cryptid sightings swept the country to the extent that a week can’t pass without a new folklore legend being photographed, video taped, unearthed or washed ashore. Crib Rock Supports…the U.S.A.
As Beijing welcomes the world to 2008 Olympic Games, we’re reminded that there isn’t much these days that’s still made in the USA - let alone a company’s entire line of products.
CRIB ROCK is the rare exceptions to the rule, as all of our tees, raglans, thermals, pants and onesies are cut, sewn, dyed and screened in the USA and always have been.
And our nursery decor? As the boss would say we’re “Born in the USA,” made from start to finish right here in our country’s glamour capital following the strictest social compliances. (In other words, we’re sweat shop free.) Just a little something we thought you might like to know.
The only thing missing from The X-Files Movie
Everyone has Batman on the brain this week but there’s a building buzz around the long-awaited X-Files flick too. As far as we can tell, the only thing missing from this sci-fi movie is this little guy from Crib Rock’s Metal Mania wall hook line. Good thing you, Mulder and Scully can all buy him right here!
Crib Rock® Retailer R&S AVENUE
Massachusetts’ rocking kids shop R and S Avenue (Rattle and Stroll) has a style and essence all it’s own. Characters Rattle and Stroll are the brother/sister team with an eye for fashion and fun, who act as co-spokespersons for R&S Avenue. The pair can be found kicking it in both their Mashpee and Hyannis locations, and online.
Nice to chat with you two. So Rattle, how would you describe your personal style?
I love edgy tutus and glamorous fairytale dresses. It’s so much fun to wear frilly ruffles flipped with couture street style. I love the spotlight and attracting attention!
Okay Stroll…same question for you…
I love rocking my fly greaser jeans and tattoo tee shirts. My style vibe is vintage rock meets modern punk and comes from a blend of many different fashion flavors! I love to mix and match them all because while I may be little but I still have to dazzle the ladies!

So kids, which brands does your namesake store R&S Avenue rock these days?
Crib Rock Couture, Ed Hardy Kids, Christian Audigier Kids, Misha Lulu, Monster Republic, Joes Jeans, Harajuku Lovers, Kingsley, Kaos Recycled, Childish, Knuckleheads, Aristabrat, Little Lovelies & more!
R&S Avenue has two locations: 547 Main St., Hyannis, MA 02601, phone 508-771-1480 and R&S Avenue in Mashpee Commons, 22 North St., Mashpee, MA 02649. For those not able to visit in person, check them out online at www.rsavenue.com.
Crib Rock’s Muse
It’s no secret that my daughter Jordan was the inspiration for Crib Rock when the Concert Series Tees launched in 2005 and she continues to inspire creativity in our studio and in our hearts everyday. I guess you could call her the Crib Rock Muse.
As our muse is growing up, my hope is that Crib Rock’s product line will expand and mature right along with her. So when Jordan handed over sketches of a wall hook design she envisioned for her tween scene bedroom it was so rewarding to bring that vision to life. See which product she inspired after the jump. Forget that pricey Vacation. Take a Staycation!
Budgets are tight in households across the nation and many families are choosing to spend vacation dollars at home. Simple vacations and day trips (or Staycations as they’ve been dubbed in the media) are replacing more elaborate ones. In some cases, fancy summer camps have been nixed altogether to compensate for rising gasoline prices and soaring grocery costs. As a result, women across the country are waking up to the sobering fact that this summer: Mom is the Camp Counselor. “What are we doing today Mom?” “Mom, I’m bored.” “There’s nothing to do here.” Bla, Bla, Bla.
Sound familiar? Don’t let the inmates run the asylum. It’s game plan time. Here are some suggested activities…
