It’s the Summer of the SNOWMAN!

Sneak peek of the YETI, \It’s official. Abomidable Snowmen (AKA Yetis) are smoking hot this season.  Not only are Yeti’s the leader of the pack in our new LEGENDS tee line for boys, it seems Hollywood (via “The Mummy 3″) has come calling for these Tibetan bad boys too.  Be warned, these snowmen are not the loveable, fuzzy guy from the 1970’s “Ruldolph and the Rednose Reindeer” flicks - the modern kids Yeti is 100% bad boy.

As soon as our LEGENDS tees and onesies were complete and uploaded to the Crib Rock website, an order came through for 3 Yeti onesies from the well-known special effects studio,  Rhythm and Hues.  We thought it was unusual they would want to buy three identically designed onesies, all in size small until we got that it was for “a VIP director with infant triplets.”  Although I’m pretty current on my celebrity babies (I occasionally write for the Celebrity Baby Blog) even I couldn’t come up with an answer as to who this mystery director with triplets might be.  I didn’t think anymore of it until Monday when I stumbled upon a website for The Mummy: Tomb of The Dragon Emperor starring Brendan Fraser, opening August 1, which I learned is showcasing both Dragons and Yetis.  Awesome!

“What a fantastic coincidence that they’re featuring folklore creatures found in Crib Rock’s LEGENDS line,” I thought.  Because while Dragons have become pretty familiar to us all, Yetis?  Not so much.
I read on to realize I was surfing the personal blog of Mummy Director, Rob Cohen, who shared two vital pieces of information that solved my “Mystery of the Legends Yeti Onesies and the VIP Triplets.”
  1. Rhythm and Hues Special Effects created the amazing YETIS (pictured above) and they are Rob Cohen’s favorite creatures in the Mummy 3 film.
  2. Rob Cohen’s wife Barbara just gave birth to triplets!
Mystery solved. Just call me the accidental detective.  I’m ”stoked” that the very first pieces from Crib Rock’s Legends line were purchased for the director of a blockbuster movie featuring Folklore legends!  So when you throw the kids into the car to see “The Mummy” movie, make sure they’re “dressed to thrill” in a Legend’s Dragon tee or Yeti tee.  Listen, if they’re good enough for the director’s triplets, who are we to argue?
